Education for acquiring the professional title of a specialist for healthcare workers and healthcare associates with a university degree means acquiring knowledge and skills and training for performing highly specialized jobs in the health profession and applying the results of science in practice.
A healthcare worker with a higher education may obtain a specialization in a health-related scientific field, on the basis of a request: a medical institution, institute or faculty of medicine, referring to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska.
Specializations are carried out according to a program that determines the scope, content and plan of conducting theoretical and practical teaching and practical professional work, as well as the knowledge and skills that are acquired, all in accordance with the Rulebook on plan and programme of specialization.
